Benjamin Brazeau

Welcome to a look at my professional portfolio.  In the following pages you will hopefully get an idea of who I am and my teaching style.  I have tried to provide examples of my educational philosophy, activities and strategies.  I have taught and coached at the high school level with many of those years working with 9th grade students.  In that time I have found that education is both a rewarding and challenging career.

I am currently working as the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the Shawano School District. I support students and staff in 4 buildings spanning grades K-12. In this role I am able to observe students, teachers, and administrators, and provide them support to achieve success.

Education is my passion!  I wake up everyday with countless opportunities to interact with young minds and be a positive influence on their lives.  I see my role in education as being fraught with challenges and yet offers tremendous rewards.  Teaching has allowed me to develop meaningful relationships with students. Through these interactions I have come to realize building connections with students is more important than the subject matter I am teaching or they are learning.  During the many years that I have been a teacher, and now as a technology integrator, I have found that there are  so many things that I learn everyday, and every year that passes. I relish the opportunity to continue to learn and grow as an educator.    I hope to inspire this quest for knowledge in the students  and staff so they will one day have the same sense of satisfaction in their lives as education has brought to mine.
